From the beginning, it was very clear that this website was in need of a soundtrack that would best represent the early days of Dead Man's Hollow. Giving each webpage its own unique 'backwoods' or 'down home' feel through music seemed to be the only way to enhance each story. Fortunately, some of the best folk rock and bluegrass musicians have stepped in to help achieve this.
This website would like to extend a world of gratitude to all of the musicians who have generously contributed their talents to its pages.
BONEPONY
Get ready to stomp your feet! Bonypony's 'feel good' style of American folk rock has been entertaining and inspiring people for years. With five studio albums, two live albums and a dvd box set, it's easy to see why this band has a fan base that stretches across the nation.
THE HILLBILLY GYPSIES
For nearly a decade, The Hillbilly Gypsies have been putting their own spin on 'old time' Appalachian music. By combining a unique blend of traditional and contemporary bluegrass with an energetic stage presence, this West Virginia based band continues to maintain a solid bond with fans all over the region .
BOB SHANK
Once someone has had an opportunity to hear exactly what folk musician Bob Shank can do with the Hammered Dulcimer, they tend to remember it well. Originally part of the 70s string band Hickory Wind, Bob has established himself as a respected member of West Virginia's folk and bluegrass scene. When he's not busy recording albums for other musicians at his Otter Slide Studios, Bob can often be found adding his creativity to several bands.
