Venture Outdoors would like to invite you to spend an Autumn afternoon exploring the spookier side of the Great Allegheny Passage. This event will take participants on a hike through the Dead Man's Hollow conservation area located just outside of McKeesport, Pennsylvania. The group will be lead along the moderate hiking trails by a local historian and naturalists from the Allegheny Land Trust (ALT). Conserved by the ALT, Dead Man's Hollow was the site of a thriving industrial area 100 years ago that mysteriously vanished. All in attendance will have an opportunity to listen to local legends and ghost stories, and discover why this fascinating wildlife preserve might just be one of Allegheny County's most haunted places.
